The desired candidate will focus on providing I&E and controls support on a wide variety of projects within the Bakken but will be based in Houston. This role may also need to provide some wider facilities engineering or project management support on a number of trials and projects for adjacent teams.
25% Travel to North Dakota will be involved and sites are safety sensitive.

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineer degree required
- Ability to spec out and review instrumentation and control system equipment for onshore resource play facilities
- Ability to read P&IDs and understanding of process conditions being designed for
- Understanding of upstream / midstream - onshore resource play facilities and associated instruments and control systems
- Experience with measurement and metering systems
- Experience in troubleshooting operational issues providing insight from an instrumentation, electrical and controls perspective
- Ability to create and modify electrical one line drawings and formulate cause and effect diagrams for small to medium retrofit projects
- Provide technical direction as appropriate to drafters, designers to perform design support assignment
- Preparation of field instrumentation, control valves, and pressure safety valves datasheets
- Perform control valve, shutdown valve, flow element and thermowell sizing calculations and preliminary analyses
- Assist in developing or reviews discipline material quantity estimates
- Understanding of industry regulatory codes and standards
- Job knowledge of various types of field instrumentation, PLCs, RTUs, hazardous areas is essential
- Ability to receive technical and administrative supervision from senior engineers
- Familiarity with Emerson ROC , Emerson FB3000, PLCs and other RTU - Control systems
- Familiar with radio and cellular communication systems
- Up SCADA / Wonder Ware experience
- Project management skills including budget management
- Ideal candidate will be self-motivated and a team player. Will also have integrity, a strong safety focus, and be a contributor to company wide safety culture.
- Environmental awareness is also very important. Must be team minded and have the ability to shift gears / priorities as needed as other initiatives arise.
