We are currently seeking a Facilities Engineer/Specialist with extensive experience to work in the Midland, TX or Carlsbad, NM area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilities Engineers are the primary technical support to Operations for surface facilities within the Permian Basin.

- An engineer will be assigned to a field area, corresponding with a foreman, and be responsible for both operations support and project execution.

- Operations support includes facility surveillance, troubleshooting and debottlenecking.

- Project execution includes self performing design, procurement and working with a construction team to construct and commission facility projects

- Projects are typically initiated to mitigate a safety risk, address a regulatory need, increase capacity or improve reliability

- The facility engineer will report to an Engineering Manager for day to day direction, and, work in a cross functional asset team to pursue and deliver business results

- The role will be based in either Midland, TX or Carlsbad, NM

- Work safely and help identify and mitigate process design, construction and operational SHE risks

- Design, procure and support construction, startup and operation of new and/or modified production facilities

- Provide surveillance and operations support for existing and new facilities in the Permian Basin; actively engage field operations staff - dedicating time in the field (avg 8 days/mo)

- Manage multiple facility projects with moderate complexity. Engineering support will include options analysis/selection, design, AFE management, procurement, drawings creation, construction support, commissioning support/start-up and post start-up modifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of Bachelors of Engineering in relevant discipline required

- Knowledgeable of Oil & Gas Industry, specifically unconventional horizontal developments, water floods and CO2 floods, and the associated surface facilities and infrastructure required to support development & operation of these fields

- Mechanical or process background with hands on experience either designing, operating or maintaining common surface facility components such as piping, vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, etc.

- Knowledgeable in fundamentals of facilities design such as fluid hydraulics, piping design, fixed and rotating equipment design, operation and maintenance, control systems and materials / corrosion

- Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously

- Experience with industry (API, ANSI, ASTM, etc.) standards

- Ability to work in a fit-for-purpose environment; standards/design commensurate with lower, onshore complexity

- Ability to work independently as well as work in a team environment with numerous disciplines

- Ability to self-generate design packages for common oil field surface facilities

- Small project (less than $10M) management and execution capabilities

- Strong analytic and communication skills
