Position Summary

The Facilities Engineer will interact with the Development Teams, Field Teams and other stake holders as necessary to assist with the design, implementation and operation of production assets which includes: production facilities and water supply, storage, and transfer facilities and lines. Under direct management supervision, they will assist with the support of the full cycle project requirements including concept initiation, cost and economic analysis, and evaluates supply, storage, transfer/distribution and treatment schemes with a focus on the operational aspects of the projects. Incumbent may also assist management in preparing budget data, evaluating financial information, and preparing business and technical evaluations.

Essential Duties

  • Possess excellent communication skills and leadership style, focusing on team building
  • Responsible for the implementation, budgeting and forecasting of Production Team construction projects and daily field work
  • Prepares project timelines, cost estimates and procedures, reviews reports and records for accuracy, tracks project costs, verifies invoices and may participate in post project analysis
  • Follows plans, policies and programs to optimize business unit performance
  • Assists in development and execution of programs for non-critical operations and possibly some critical operations
  • Participates in field activities and basic understanding of technologies and operations
  • Prepares field reviews, wellbore schematics, cost estimates and procedures for basic downhole and surface operations; analysis of production and pressure data
  • Analysis of project costs
  • Membership and participation in industry society
  • Responsible for the cost tracking of construction services and projects provided to other team members or departments
  • Will support the design of systems to reduce the operational costs for producing and developing the assets
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams, construction and engineering designs and blueprints
  • Lead the bidding and selection process of qualified vendors to perform equipment manufacturing activities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within applicable timelines, budgets, and environmental regulations
  • Work with the field personnel and consultants by providing clear guidance and directions in all aspects of field work
  • Implement an effective and approved construction program to support the production operations
  • Excellent computer skills with, but not limited to, all MS Office products including PowerPoint and MSProject, basic CAD programs, and intermediate knowledge in Promax with the ability to learn Spotfire and Power BI.
  • Provide management accurate reporting with the ability to make presentations and generate reports as requested
  • Must be a self-starter and reliable
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Must have a minimum of 3-6 years' experience in engineering/construction or related field, and must be adaptable to change in a rapidly changing business/industry environment
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills together with the ability to multi-task, be team oriented, with the desire to learn and to mentor
  • Candidate must have a basic understanding of most production management techniques and technologies as well as a strong background in the design/selection of cost-effective equipment
  • Candidate will implement a continual improvement program to support the activities of the Production Team on behalf of Southwestern Energy
