Status:Full Time Location:United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC, Batavia) Department:Facilities Management Schedule:Days Attributes + Attention to detail + Safety consciences + Great communication skills + Keen troubleshooting experience Responsibilities + Perform minor electrical tasks such as lighting fixture repairs, outlet/electrical component replacements, electrical room rounds, inspections, electrical system monitoring, preventive maintenance tasks and other minor adjustments/repairs to electrical systems as directed. + Assist the senior electrician and other staff with more complex tasks such as (Switchgear maintenance/repair, 3 phase electrical system services/maintenance, Generator/transfer switch service /maintenance, Critical system troubleshooting). + Has the basic understanding of electrical system/equipment functionality to troubleshoot minor equipment/system problems as assigned by the senior electrician or other facilities leaders to complete tasks as scheduled. + Provides electrical troubleshooting support for all other trade fields as needed for their successful completion of work assignments. + Utilizes electrical equipment such as multi meters, Piping benders and other related tools and equipment necessary to effectively troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems. + Has a basic knowledge and ability to read and utilize plans, schematic drawings, line diagrams, Operating equipment manuals specifications and work orders to successfully complete electrical related tasks. + Has basic knowledge of codes such as NEC and other regulations related to the electrical field to complete assigned tasks with compliant outcomes. + Performs preventive and predictive maintenance for non-essential electrical equipment/systems to maintain them in proper working condition and assist the senior electrician with more complex tasks as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSM - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
