Position Overview:
This position is responsible for maintaining every aspect of the physical facility, power industrial equipment and monitoring our food safety Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation programs. In addition you must ensure compliance in areas regulated by OSHA, FDA, and 3rd party agencies. Maintaining all building repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and equipment repairs is an essential responsibility of this position.
Summary of Essential Functions
Conduct all Safety Hazard, GMPs, and facility inspections monthly, weekly, daily.
Coordinate training programs that ensure all compliance requirements are met and maintained.
Maintain records required by OSHA, GMPs, and Facility standards.
Participate as a member of the leadership team.
Ensure maintenance is performed on the building, property, and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repairs.
Solid computer skills, experience with Google Suite, a plus
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and OSHA compliance standards.
Strong attention to detail and good time management with the ability to follow up often.
Demonstrate teaching skills and instructional techniques.
Knowledge of warehouse operations, preferably in a distribution center.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel.
Experience with negotiating, vetting and managing 3rd party service providers.
Ability to read, write and understand English.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma
Certifications in Food Safety and OSHA compliance
AIB training and certifications (or comparable organization)
Minimum 1 year building maintenance experience in a warehouse environment.
Minimum 2 years of applicable food safety, sanitation, and OSHA compliance experience.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on training and classroom instructional techniques.
