Job Overview
Position Overview
This position will regularly transport clients to and from locations outside of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro. Additionally, some transports may take place entirely within the metro area. Under limited supervision, the employee in this role provides general maintenance for the program facility and property.
This position must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
Responsibilities
Safely complete clients transport as directed by Management
Order and manage program supplies
Ability to effectively communicate with others and comprehend written and oral instructions
Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with others
Complete necessary paperwork and other logs as required
Maintains clean and safe work areas including supply room, garages, and storage rooms
Provide culturally sensitive and relevant services to diverse clients and their families (when client facing)
Work with program management to identify maintenance needs
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and complete necessary transports while on-call
Follows all safety procedures as required
Cleaning duties as required
Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
Must have a current valid driver's license in good standing
Age 21 or older
Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
Must be free of problematic substance use for at least one year immediately preceding employment and must sign a statement attesting to that fact
Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with others
Physical Demands: Daily use of computer, phone, and facility equipment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, lifting (max 50 pounds) with frequent reaching, bending and stooping. Ability to effectively navigate program or office environment such as ascending and descending steps, passing through doorways and entrances, and accessing program/office facilities.
Preferred:
Minimum of 1-year compensated driving experience
2 plus years related experience safely transporting clients
Previous experience in an addiction treatment residential facility
Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
