Who we are and what we're looking for:
The Bearded Lady is a leading Electrolysis permanent hair removal center located in Denver, Colorado. The popularity of our service is rapidly growing, and we are seeking a Licensed Cosmetologist or Esthetician that is interested in becoming a Certified Electrologists. We will train you at our expense in return for a one year commitment to our team. This open position is also available for experienced Cosmetologists or Estheticians already trained in Electrolysis, and you do not need to be Certified to apply!
About Electrolysis and what we do:
Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of true permanent hair removal, while laser hair removal can only claim permanent hair reduction. Electrolysis has many advantages over laser aside from being permanent, such as having the capability to treat all skin tones, as well as white, gray, blonde, and red hair, and even that pesky peach fuzz. You can see why it will continue to have an important role in the esthetic industry.
At The Bearded Lady, we also recognize that permanent hair removal has an important effect on people's lives, and we do more than just cosmetic treatments like eyebrows and underarms. A significant portion of women who see us are diagnosed with PCOS, which creates male pattern hair growth on their faces, so you can understand how our services change client's lives. We also play a huge role in assistance with transgender reassignment surgery preparation. We are all about making our clients feel like who they really are!
About you:
We are looking for a Licensed Cosmetologist or Esthetician who is seeking a huge opportunity to learn an advanced skill and thrive in a new field. Ideally, you'd have 2 or more years experience in a related field, and be personable and responsible. We do require you to uphold impeccable bedside manner and maintain the steady hands and patience to perform this detail-oriented service.
Applicant must be comfortable performing treatments on all areas of the body, including intimate areas on both men and women, and must be available between 3 and 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day.
Training for this skill is very advanced and takes time, so if this sounds like the challenge for you, we would love to hire someone who's looking for a long-term home.
