Pfizer Sanford provides Drug Substance and Drug products to facilities around the globe. This position is designed to support the HVAC Certification and Verification activities at the Pfizer Sanford facility that serve classified manufacturing areas for vaccines and gene therapy processes.

What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in design and development of manufacturing process to bring products from research to manufacturing. You will leverage your technical capabilities to understand the inherent problems related to transfer of technology from the research stage to manufacturing, in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments. You will conduct tests and measurements throughout the stages of production and troubleshoot production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation. As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will make it easy to manage difficult issues and help in establishing consensus between teams. Role Responsibilities

  • As an HVAC Verification and Certification Technician you will coordinate testing with the different area owners according to the established schedule, escort and support an outside contractor for testing and process test documentation.

  • Perform testing in emergency situations as needed to support differential pressure alarms, testing after motor changeouts and execute airflow pattern studies.

  • Willing to be developed through education and training opportunities and expanded roles within the department.

  • Manage calibrations and supplies for the validation/verification laboratory and testing equipment.

  • Assist HVAC Verification/Certification lead to expand in-house testing of manufacturing cleanrooms to reduce cost and make the process more flexible for the operations teams.

  • Validation Lab Manager

Qualifications

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience OR an associates degree with 4 years of experience OR a bachelors degree with 0+ years of experience.

  • Clear understanding of the operation of Air Handling systems

  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environments.

  • Strong organizational skills, capacity to identify and resolve problems as a team member or individually

  • Adaptive and receptive to changing priorities and assignments

  • Competency in Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio Drawing program)

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requirements are typical for an office-based work environment. There are no unusual requirements for this position.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Schedule is primarily day shift but may require off-shift work on occasions. The position may require working on the floor in manufacturing at times which will require a heightened safety awareness and aseptic gowning will be required.
