Job Overview
Position Summary
The Equipment Maintenance Coordinator streamlines maintenance workflows, manages workorders, orders/organizes parts and maintains inventory. This role ensures equipment information is organized, current, and used proactively in a standard maintenance program. This position will partner with the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manager to mitigate down time, recommend maintenance, and monitor utilization of assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate maintenance of Veit s fleet and heavy equipment.
Manage the work order system. Open and close work orders, order parts, and monitor all maintenance requests. Assign workorders as needed and follow-up on progress/completion.
Work with the Manager to adjust planned schedules on a day-to-day basis based on priority tasks and resource availability.
Monitor and evaluate fleet telematic data; coordinate the preventive maintenance program.
Maintain fleet database within fleet management software.
Monitor new equipment, update and maintains parts inventory.
Work closely with vendors, service providers, and maintenance contractors to:
Track external repairs; communicate progress and schedule.
Determine availability, and any other details as it relates to the end goal.
Keep manager informed of known actions, written or verbal, which may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect Company operations.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in heavy construction equipment maintenance environment.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite and be knowledgeable in Excel (maintaining spreadsheets).
Experience fleet management software / work orders system.
Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
Strong analytical background, with attention to detail.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret equipment manuals, technical procedures, and parts diagrams.
Ability to effectively present information and communicate with coworkers and management, verbally and in writing.
Ability to understand and follow Veit s safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Heavy equipment telematics experience preferred but not required.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must possess valid driver s license and ability to maintain satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
Must be able to work 8-to-10-hour workdays, Monday through Friday.
