Job Title: Environmental / Regulatory Advisor I

Job Description:

Position of Regulatory Coordinator located in Midland, TX. Regulatory Coordinators are subject matter experts in rules and regulations related to well permitting requirements throughout the life cycle of oil and gas wells, including injection and disposal. Regulatory Coordinators work directly with internal and external customers, technical and operations teams, to provide guidance and counsel on maintain license to operate. In addition, Regulatory Coordinators work with regulators from various local, state and federal agencies in Texas and New Mexico. Regulatory Coordinators provide critical support for the ongoing business activities in the Permian Basin, while ensuring all applicable rules and regulations are adhered to.

Specific Job Requirements/Skills:

Well permitting and regulatory support for Texas and New Mexico oil and gas operations, including permit acquisition from the: RRC, NMOCD, BLM, and GLO. Manage various statewide programs to maintain compliance with Texas and/or New Mexico regulations. Work directly with the RRC, NMOCD, BLM and GLO to resolve issues with applications and well compliance. Train internal and external customers as needed to ensure knowledge of regulatory requirements. Counsel internal customers, including: development, drilling, completions, production, operations, facilities, global projects, and others on regulatory requirements needed to drill, complete, produce, rework, plug, commingle, and acquire land use authorization approvals.
