As the Cat Oil & Gas (COG) Environmental Social Governance Product Definition Manager, you are responsible for defining product strategy, setting product requirements, and supporting sales and marketing for COG product solutions. This role is a key contributor for Caterpillar's continuing leadership in providing Oil and Gas industry solutions. Through close customer, dealer, solutions team, and product group collaboration, this role is an integral part of a team focused on expanding market leadership and achieving Caterpillar's long-term plans. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Lead long-term strategy development for COG ESG solutions, including expanded product development and adjacent product solutions. This includes business opportunity development and supports annual R&D planning. Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for ESG communications, including internal and external marketing, white papers, and industry conferences. Identify need, lead, and represent COG on initiatives to drive enterprise support on ESG needs (e.g. reporting, data availability, and customer messaging). Actively participate in ESG-related standards-setting and industry committees and conferences to gather future product requirements and influence industry adoption. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in engineering and/or externally facing roles Top candidates will also have: Strong familiarity with standards, regulatory requirements, and reporting processes as they relate to engine emissions (e.g. greenhouse gas (GHG), NOx, etc.) Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-organization relationships with various stakeholders (e.g., internal, dealer, and OEM/customer) and drive execution of cross-organization projects to completion Demonstrated knowledge of upstream and/or midstream power applications and products (gas and/or diesel engines) Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences 5+ years' experience developing, supporting, or selling Cat Oil and Gas engine products System-level engine design and/or performance experience Advanced technical degree and/or MBA Additional Information: Ability to travel domestically and internationally, 10-20% time Employee benefit details: Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
