Job Overview
Technician needed for reoccurring visits to the same property to troubleshoot access points. Technician must be able to pass a drug test, pass a background check, reliable transportation and live within one hour of the site. Hours and dates will vary. Ideal candidates would be college students looking to learn new simple computer networking skills.
Tools: The tool list below is tools we use. Over time you can buy them. A Laptop with ethernet port is required. A USB to RJ45 console cable is required. Console cable is 15 dollars on amazon or 20 dollars at BestBuy.
Punch Tool, Hand Tools, Machine label maker (example: PTouch, Bradley, etc...), UTP 4 pair cable tester, Tone generator & Amp, Volt OhM meter, Analog phone test set (Butt Set) Cell phone with camera, Personal Computer Laptop and console cables required at all times.
Experience: No experience required
Appearance: Neat, clean, wrinkle-free, and properly fitted casual attire without holes, tears or fraying.
1) SHIRT - No "T" Shirts allowed. T-shirts with advertisements or phrases on them ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Clean, collared shirt. Polo, or casual button up style shirt is required.
2) PANTS - Long pants. NO TEARS, HOLES OR FRAYED BOTTOMS. Jeans are acceptable. Shorts are not acceptable.
3) SHOES - Clean, covered toe shoes. NO Sandals or open toe shoes are allowed.
4) COATS / JACKETS - Neat and clean jackets or coats are required. NO TEARS, HOLES OR FRAYED EDGES /SLEEVES.
BE PROFESSIONAL: Technicians should conduct themselves in a professional manner that will further the interests of the company and its business partners. Always be respectful when interacting with customer. NEVER - Argue or engage in any type of confrontation with customer. NEVER offer technical opinions or unsolicited advice.
BRING YOUR TOOLS: This does not include the first day. Every Technician is expected to come to each job with the tools required to execute all aspects of the position to which you have been assigned. Technicians are expected to wear a tool belt and/or carry the tools that they need to always perform their jobs. Do not make several trips back and forth to service vehicle; bring tools needed as soon as they are identified.
COMMUNICATE: Should you experience any difficulties regarding a job to which you are going, a job that you are on, or a job that you have already been on, TELL THE CUSTOMER YOU'LL LOOK INTO IT AND CALL THE OFFICE.
