Description:

This Company is currently seeking a Rodman to join their team in Jacksonville. This is an entry level position on a survey crew. They will assist with using electronic equipment to mark up (designate) underground utilities and dig down to verify the exact location of the utility. In order to dig down a jack hammer is used, if under asphalt or concrete. Then an air lance is used to break up the dirt. Then a vacuum system is used to suck up the dirt, leaving a 2' wide 5-6' deep hole down to the top of the utility. This allows for an accurate survey elevation reading of the top of the utility and the ability to verify the size and type of piping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must enjoy and be physically able to work outside in the Florida elements

Experience with hands on manual labor

Experience in construction or surveying preferred (concrete worker, rod buster, pipe layer, brick layer, mason, concrete finisher, rodman, , pipe crew, etc.)
