Georgia-Pacific has an immediate need for an Entry level Maintenance Technician at our Frisco City, Al facility. This is an entry level hourly position that requires an individual who has a mechanical aptitudes and eagerness to learn. Occasional off shift work may be required. This is a training role that will require a degree of overnight travel to other plants and off-site training. What You Will Do In Your Role Expectations for this role upon completion of training: Serves as the plant fluid power specialist, overseeing the reliable operations of all Hydraulic Power Units and Air Compressor Systems. Serves as a liaison to maintenance crafts and supervision to drive reliability best practices of fluid power reliability. Administer the Oil analysis predictive maintenance program by developing predictive work order routes, executing routes, obtaining sampling results, interpreting those results, and generating work orders to eliminate deficiencies involving fluid power systems. Oversee contractor service of compressed air equipment to ensure they are meeting GP expectations for service. Assist Reliability Engineer in optimizing PdM route effectiveness Inspect Each Hydraulic system at least once per week to ensure that they are leak free and running at the proper temperature. Assist plant departments in prioritizing improvements to the reliable operation of the hydraulic power systems Assist Reliability Engineer and project staff in implementing new technologies to reach reliability centered lubrication and fluid power goals. Develop and implement strategies for achieving and maintaining ISO contamination standards for oil cleanliness in fluid power systems. Develop and implement strategies for achieving oil usage reduction goals and ensure that all hydraulic oil usage is well documented. Send weekly update on oil consumption with top three users and how to correct those issues. The Experience You Will Bring Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Associates degree in industrial maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance or technical field or 1 year experience in industrial maintenance Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing Preventative Maintenance, Maintenance Teams, Contractors. Maintenance Tech with electric and/or hydraulic experience in a manufacturing environment Hydraulics & Pneumatics training Experience troubleshooting & repairing hydraulics & pneumatics Experience reading technical drawings and schematics Precision maintenance training or experience Our goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
