Collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry, participate in production of design plans for ODOT projects, and develop and prepare project deliverables. We are expanding our team and are looking for a motivated Engineering Technician to join us in our Oklahoma office.
B&N Engineering Technician Responsibilities:
Support engineers on transportation projects, including preliminary plan creation
CAD design, plan production, and preparation of highway plans for ODOT and local governments
Assist with assessment and inspection the structural components of bridges and other transportation structures
Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Associate Degree or college training may be substituted for some, but not all, required experience
5+ years transportation of related design and/or inspection experience preferred
DOT and/or local government experience preferred, Oklahoma experience a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microstation, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD preferred
Training in safe rope climbing techniques for bridge inspection is provided. Additional training will be provided
Ability and desire to climb large bridge and other large structures and lift up to 50 lbs. of gear
Ability to work outside up to 50% of the time, physical ability to move in and around bridge structures with live traffic within close proximity
Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
Self-motivated and adaptable
