Job Responsibilities
Lam's Manufacturing Engineering team at the Tualatin factory has an immediate opening for an Engineering Technician.
Job Duties
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services on tools and electro/mechanical fixtures to ensure safe operation in manufacturing
Repair tools and electro/mechanical fixtures used in manufacturing processes as needed
Troubleshoot problems with tools and electro/mechanical fixtures to identify root causes
Work closely with Fixture Design Engineers to build and evaluate prototypes and provide feedback to Design Engineers
Conduct experiments and evaluations under the guidance of Engineers
Analyze and offer suggestions for fixture improvements
Schedule repairs and request quotes from vendors for repair work
Effectively work as part of a team in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment
Minimum Qualifications
One+ year experience working with CNC equipment and electro-mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
Familiar with metal working techniques and practices
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Familiarity with using diagnostic software
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% as needed (domestic and international)
Success in this role also requires the ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear), and consistently demonstrating ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities (ex., rework, overtime).
