Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineering Technician with a focus on Hardware Integration, Computer Off The Shelf (COTS) Software Integration, and Engineering Documentation to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
The selected candidate will assist with Ground Segment hardware integration, documentation, drawings, and software deployment roles.
Essential Functions:
o Mechanical assembly skills for building IT racks and training equipment
o Experience in hardware or software integration
o Able to lift up to 50 pounds to support equipment installations
o Active DoD S Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
o Familiarity with MES
o Experience in one or more of the following: Windows, Linux, networking, or communications equipment
Salary Range: $70,700 USD - $117,800 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineering Technician with a focus on Hardware Integration, Computer Off The Shelf (COTS) Software Integration, and Engineering Documentation to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. - Physically construct rack-based Ground Segment systems with a focus on safety, quality, and ease of repair.
- Interpret, and markup/redline, and audit released engineering drawings.
- Install system interconnect cabling for communications, audio, networking, and serial interfaces.
- Perform integrated logistics support (ILS) and inventory tracking for inbound and outbound hardware.
- Participate in offsite system integration activities (10-20% travel)
- Implement engineering changes to the system as required.
- Work closely with Engineers and other Technicians in a lab environment.
- Good planning, coordination, communication and documentation skills are required.
