Apply today and join the company that is Leading with Science . Summary: Tetra Tech is currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager. The position location will be based within our Austin, TX office. The Engineering Project Manager will provide management and strategic leadership to facilitate growth of our key client program, focusing on environmental engineering services across Tetra Tech's regional, national, and global footprint. The selected candidate will work with Tetra Tech account managers on existing key accounts in our Key Account Program and work to develop new, or existing accounts, to a key account level. Success in this role will require having direct engagement in client accounts and business development efforts. Development and fostering of client relationships will be critical to advancing the company's short- and long-term objectives. Your Role: The Engineering Project Manager success metrics include fostering a collaborative work environment locally and across Tetra Tech's Operating Units, mentoring team members, developing technical areas of expertise, and promoting and practicing a safe work environment. Rapidly integrate yourself into Tetra Tech to leverage Tetra Tech's diverse service offerings, including participating in Tetra Tech's Key Account Management Program and industry initiatives. Provide project management support to the Environmental Commercial Accounts (ECA) operating unit, and overall remediation practice within Tetra Tech. Leadership support includes a focus on business strategy, client engagement, project management, opportunity identification and pursuit, operational support, and team member mentoring. Develop strategic capture plans for clients; prepare cost and technical proposals, which address client needs; effectively and efficiently manage projects to ensure the completion of projects on time and within budget and regulatory guidelines; identify resources and develop "virtual" teams within Tetra Tech that can effectively and efficiently service client needs; and maintain good client communications. Actively participate with project teams to strategically pursue and capture new opportunities and focus on project delivery. Other activities will include RFP management, contract negotiation, and project implementation. Qualifications: B.S. Civil, Environmental or a related field (M.S. Preferred). 7 - 10 years of technical and project managerial experience with investigation, remediation, environmental reporting, and other related environmental services. E.I.T or P.E. preferred. OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred. Dynamic, self-starter with successful experience related to operational and program-level leadership, business development, and strategic planning. Proven technical expertise and a successful track record in environmental remediation projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to summarize scientific data, perform engineering evaluations, and develop and deliver effective presentations to clients and management. Strong skills and proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft-based software, including MS Excel, for data analysis. A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
