Job Summary:

The Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) Directorate is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Engineering Operations Analyst. In this hybrid remote role, working with the Operations Manager and your Analyst peer(s), you will support a SI&T Center manager and their respective Departments with the coordination, planning, and management of a wide array of Directorate processes, initiatives, and business activities. Most activities can be performed remotely, however, the role will be based in Tucson, AZ so that onsite attendance at this facility for critical meetings, reviews or events is required. You will exhibit the utmost level of professionalism and use strong people skills to build relationships with the Directorate leadership team. The Business Operations Analyst will maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling business information.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • You will oversee Engineering workforce planning activities and related processes, including high-level interaction with Department and Section Leaders on their headcount analysis, labor forecasts, and workforce planning
  • You will prepare business data and presentation slides and direct regularly scheduled Operations Reviews and staff meetings
  • You will support directorate special projects and activities
  • You will monitor and report the status of various Directorate goals and Achievement Awards
  • You will assist in tracking Center Estimate at Complete (EAC) progress
  • You may support leadership in the creation and review of proposal artifacts, basis of estimates (BOEs) estimates, metric collection and other activities supporting proposal development, or directorate startup reviews.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires bachelor's degree and five (5) years of prior relevant experience or, in lieu of a degree, nine (9) years of relevant experience is required. Relevant experience includes working as a Business Operations Analyst, Engineering Planning, Project Engineering, or similar roles.

  • Experience using computers with strong skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity, work well with others, communicate effectively, and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner
  • Experience with work force planning and related tools, including Team Strength, Engineering Labor Forecast (ELF) and Operational Workforce Planning (OWP)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changes in priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Background in earned value management, program execution and proposal processes
  • Experience integrating and analyzing large, complex data sets from multiple data sources and aggregating the information into summary conclusions
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting automation
