We are looking for self-driven, team player to join Tuffaloy's management team and lead engineering efforts.

The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all engineering activities and working closely with the sales team at Tuffaloy Products, Inc. and its subsidiary Resistance Welding Products, Ltd. The individual is responsible for mentoring, coaching, and developing the engineering team. The individual is responsible for the development and implementation of procedures to ensure product specifications meet industry standards, method of manufacture is accurate, and designs are optimized for use and manufacturability. The individual is responsible for market research and managing the product development cycle from concept to launch. The individual is responsible for managing raw material purchasing specifications and the critical material supply chain. The individual is an active contributor to the executive team, and will contribute to defining the strategic plan for the organization and executing projects accordingly. This position reports directly to the President and CEO.

A Detailed List Of Responsibilities Are

• Identify, recommend, and implement processes and systems to improve the accuracy of quote costing and streamline the costing process to increase responsiveness to the customer
• Identify, recommend, and implement processes and systems for new part creation, design, and engineering change request to ensure manufacturability while minimizing costs
• Hire, coach, and mentor engineering staff to drive professional growth of the department in line with the company's Goals and Strategic Plan
• Research market trends and lead new product development projects to ensure the Standard Product line offering satisfies customer needs
• Define, maintain, and identify standards and tolerances to be used in product design
• Ensure all part drawings are accurate, consistent with the manufacturing capabilities, and industry follow standards
• Monitor and track quoting activity opportunities and present relevant results to the management team with a focus on market potential and capabilities required
• Manage the ERP planning factors for Purchased Parts and purchase materials accordingly
• Manage purchasing specifications to ensure all materials sourced satisfy internal and industry standards
• Manage relationships with suppliers to minimize supply chain risk and minimize costs
• Manage the SDS Safety sheets and ensure documentation is consistent with regulations and industry standards
