Working for a battery technology leader who develop and manufacture advanced clean mobility solutions which protect the environment. This role is based within their energy storage business working across different applications including aviation, marine, stationery and energy platforms.

The require an Engineering Manager to lead the world class energy storage team that specializes in turnkey and bespoke battery design and validation services.

Duties:-

• Lead engineering team: planning team structure, personnel decisions, team and individual goal setting, and new product signoffs.
• Ensure world class designs based on engineering knowledge, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and customer specifications.
• Support the development of a strategic plan for energy storage industry certifications
• Oversee the energy storage design team to develop solutions that meet mechanical, thermal, electrical, safety, functional, cost target, and manufacturability requirements for all product lines.
• Ensure engineering team leverages a structure methodology for product robustness, such as (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Ensure engineering team leverages a structure methodology and coordinates with Advanced Manufacturing team to complete DFAM (Design for Assembly and Manufacturing) and cost reduction activities for current and future products.

You will be educated to degree level in a relevant field with at least a 5 years experience in leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams with a demonstrable track record in implementing multi phase concept to delivery projects.

With experience of 3D CAD, mechanical/thermal simulation (COMSOL ideally), GD&T, tolerance stack ups and experience within energy storage system regulations and certifications.
