A Bit About Us

We are looking for an Engineering Lead to join our growing procurement-as-a-service company where you will help build and lead a high-performing engineering team while being able to stay very hands-on. Our tech stack is modern, well-documented and has very little tech debt (the second-gen platform we're building out right now is a greenfield project). Specific technologies include React, TypeScript, Django, PostgreSQL, and AWS CDK. We're particularly interested in candidates with a preference for backend engineering, and DevOps experience is a major plus.

Our engineers work closely with end-users as well as the product team to define the vision and direction of the product. You will be challenged to work across the entire stack everything from writing pixel-perfect front-end components to designing robust database schemas that capture complex real-world challenges in efficient and scalable ways. You will be part of an agile engineering team that brings this offering to global customers and new markets by building, integrating, testing, and continuously deploying new features and products.

Job Details

• 5+ years of full-time professional software engineering experience
• Understanding of databases, networking, internet security, cloud computing frameworks like Kubernetes and the AWS offerings is a plus
• 5+ years of experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Rails, Node + Express, Go + Gin, Spring, etc.
• 5+ years of experience using relational databases in a production environment (we use PostgreSQL)
• 3+ years of experience using modern deployment technologies in a production environment, experience with AWS CDK is a plus
• 3+ years of experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, experience with TypeScript, React Hooks, Redux Toolkit, and Material UI is a plus
• Strong understanding of modern web application design patterns and concepts (SPAs, REST, GraphQL, containerization, testing, etc.)
• Strong understanding of agile practices and tools
• Proven software design skills with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
