Job Overview
Role Summary:
Provide product engineering support focused in the areas of product changes, requests for quotation and design. Complete assigned projects and perform non-routine assignments of considerable variety and complexity. This position will start in January - May of 2023.
General Responsibilities:
Assists in the design and development of products, components, and assemblies
Interacts with project teams, CE groups, Sales, and Customer Service
Assists in appropriate documentation completion
Provides assistance with quotation activities
Conducts product testing and prototyping activities
Supports continuous improvement and efficiency efforts
Minimum Education, Experience and Core Competency Requirements:
Current enrollment in a Mechanical or Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering program; will also accept Electrical Engineering programs
Introductory knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software
Experience with manufacturing and engineering design process
Sophomore, Junior or Senior status
Preferred Education, Experience and Core Competency Requirements:
Prior internship/work experience in a manufacturing setting
Machine shop qualifications - welding, endmills and lathes
Must start January - May of 2023
