Our AI powered systems allow marketers to reach the right decision makers at the right time through targeting, bidding, budget optimization and more.
We are looking for an AI leader to lead strategy and execution for our full stack AI team responsible for Ads relevance, targeting, bidding, pacing and auction optimization. As an Engineering Director, you will directly lead a team of 40+ AI scientists and managers. You will partner with engineering and product leaders across LinkedIn, to drive the core technical agenda for this domain. You will not only own the core AI algorithms and pipelines, but also end-to-end production flows to have direct member and business impact.
This individual will be a core member of LinkedIn's Marketing Solutions Data and AI team and will partner closely with AI and Data Science, Product, and Infrastructure teams to define the strategy and execution of some of our most important company goals.

The pay range for this role is $207,000 to $340,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

- Execute the strategy with strong customer, member and business impact partnering with our product and engineering counterparts.
- Lead the team to build cutting-edge AI technologies with scalable solutions.
- Build strong collaboration and connective tissue with the other AI and Data teams and with key horizontal Data functions.

Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of software engineering management
- 4+ years experience in large distributed systems
- B.A./B.S. degree or higher, or equivalent experience
- Experienced in AI/Data Science (6+ years)
- Experience with Data Management (eg data versioning) (4+ years)
- Experience with building/managing graph machine learning and deep neural network solutions
- Experience managing teams that build systems that support Artificial Intelligence pipelines and services
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
