We have an interesting opportunity for an Engineer to join our teams of experts in a dynamic and growing company that is driving the energy transition.
What you will be doing.
In your role as an Engineer you will be involved in undertaking marine engineering and consultancy services, whilst involved in overseeing a wide variety of activities, ranging from the analysis, design of vessels, floating structures, and marine operations such as cable lay installation, and wind turbine installation.
You will have a good understanding of the engineering requirements in O&G, Renewable and Maritime sectors by executing task including:
- Carry out a wide range of designs and analyses for floating and fixed structures, including Jackup, semisubmersibles, MOPUs, lift boats, FPSOs as well as wind farm foundations.
- Assist with the analyses for offshore installations, loadout, and transport studies.
- Provide guidance and support to designer and draft persons for design drawings and check the drawings for deliveries.
- Interface with other disciplines.
The role is based in Texas, the US, or potentially at any one of our larger North American office locations. The candidate must have the right to live and work in the United States.
Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as readiness for onshore/offshore assignments at short notice locally and globally for periods of time would be required.
What we are looking for.
We are looking for a determined, results, and client-oriented professional with a supportive and global mindset, and excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate should be passionate about innovation, and progress and enjoys working in a dynamic and multicultural environment both independently and as part of a team. In addition, you:
- Hold a degree of science in Naval Architecture, Structural, Civil, Marine, Subsea, Mechanical, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must have less than 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Must have experience in designing and analyzing vessels and offshore structures.
- Must be an enthusiastic and interested team player with a "can do" approach and willing to take part in the growth of the company.
- Should have a strong interest in analytical and consulting work.
- Must have a strong interest in the marine aspects of the maritime, renewables, or oil and gas industries.
- Should have excellent communication skills, being able to develop relationships with project teams, and existing and potential clients.
- Knowledge of Orcaflex, GHS, MOSES, SACS, and FEMAP is desirable but not a requisite.
