Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
This role can be filled at either the Principal or Sr. Principal level based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Principal System Engineer:
Salary Range 2: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of experience, or a Masters in STEM with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 0 years of experience.
- The ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and program access
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 9 years of experience in engineering; OR a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 7 years of experience in engineering; or a PhD with 4 years of experience.
- The ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and program access
- Experience in integration activities
- Top Secret DoD Clearance
- Experience in various phases of development
