Your focus will be on gathering requirements, analyzing data and recommending and developing transportation-oriented process improvements, solution designs and cost-savings opportunities. What you'll do on a typical day:

• Identify, analyze and deliver project-based results to support new initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities in operations
• Gather and analyze data from various sources to ensure requirements address and drive transportation solutions; make assumptions based on partial client data
• Prepare documentation pertaining to account requirements and update as needed to meet changes in customer requirements and processes
• Interact daily with internal and external customers to ensure expectations are being met, collect customer requirements and review progress; train/educate others on logistics moves and costs for projects under management, and attend weekly meetings to keep functional leads, management and stakeholders updated on current projects and timelines
• Perform both written and verbal logistics reporting for various projects and initiatives
• Learn and apply lean concepts such as A3s, value stream maps, kaizen events and 5SWhat you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Logistics Management or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of experience in direct operations, logistics engineering, consulting or transportation solutions design, or equivalent education
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows applications; ability to create complex formulas in Excel and visualize in Power BI
  • Ability to solve complex problems while clearly documenting the assumptions, logic, work steps, etc.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional travelIt'd be great if you also have:
    • Solid aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources
    • Excellent interpersonal and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team and customer-facing environment, and get along with diverse personalities
    • Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of the results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
    • Strong project and time management skills with ability to multitask and manage customer expectations
