Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility:

The Regional Reliability Engineer (RRE) is responsible for supporting sites within a region. The RRE functions as a subject matter expert in SAP systems supporting Maintenance Excellence and Maintenance Capital Expenditures.

The RRE leads execution of predictive maintenance (PdM) and reliability centered maintenance (RCM) processes that report asset health to proactively identify issues prior to failure. The RRE monitors assets within a region to ensure Americold Operating System (AOS) is driving continuous improvement through Maintenance Excellence. The RRE leads data collection and analysis for PdM / condition monitoring programs including vibration, ultrasound, oil analysis, infrared thermography, and motor current analysis.

The RRE leads development of region Capital and Operating Expense plans and budgets leveraging SAP to identify Bad Actors, Life Cycle Costing, and End of Useful Life.

The RRE supports safe, reliable, and cost-effective refrigerated warehouse operations by supporting maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and utility systems.

Essential Functions:

Supports development of region capital five year plan by: (1) leveraging SAP to identify Bad Actors, Life Cycle Costing, and End of Useful Life; and (2) establishing rapport with site teams to understand critical needs of warehouse operations.
Drives financial objectives for region by supporting: preparation of annual capital and operating (maintenance) budgets; scheduling of critical expenditures; analysis of budget variances; and initiation of corrective actions.
Supports management of critical region projects.
Leads continuous improvement of preventive maintenance (PM) programs by driving AOS Maintenance and Energy Excellence.
Leads RCM analysis on equipment failures to improve operational reliability. Evaluates PdM techniques and leads continuous improvement initiatives.
Acts as administrator for PdM, Condition Monitoring, Bad Actor, and Repair vs. Replace programs across region.
Optimizes use of SAP reporting across region and improves asset reliability by identifying equipment deficiencies and improving data integrity.
Ensures region SAP process compliance with: Master data for critical assets, maintenance plans, and spare parts exists and is active; new site integration schedules; end user training and acceptance tests; and workflow data table management for request approvals (i.e., purchasing and capital appropriation) and email notifications associated with facility critical data entry (i.e., warehouse temperature alerts).
Supports compliance and risk mitigation with: OSHA & EPA regulations; PSM & RMP requirements; and Insurance provider recommendations.
Supports development of maintenance staff technical skills by leveraging corporate training programs.
Supports HR and warehouse teams with hiring of maintenance staff.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience, is required
Experience with CMMS systems is required (use of SAP Plant Maintenance module is preferred)
1 to 2 years of experience in maintenance management and team leadership is preferred
Experience in manufacturing, material handling, or refrigerated warehouse industry is desirable
Experience with data analytics and RCM is preferred
Working knowledge of automation and refrigeration systems is desirable.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable
Certified Maintenance Management Professional (CMRP) is desirable

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of system best practices and methodologies
Demonstrated project management, planning, task organizing, and execution skills
Strong communications skills (written/verbal), with emphasis on demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts between business and technical groups
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency with computer user skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong customer service orientation
Must be able to work independently and unsupervised
Ability to travel 25%+ as required
