About this position: This position will focus on gas transmission standards, procedures, manual, guidelines, and policy development. Provide guidance in related standards over a broad range of applications and projects. Complete training of all GTS and complete audits of fieldwork and adequacy of the documents previously noted. About this job: Strong skills in technical writing with demonstrated ability to detail simple to complex tasks into standards or procedures Responsible for knowledge and understanding in construction standards, construction practices, operation and maintenance standards, and material specifications Develops best practices of gas transmission, gathering, and storage systems into standards, policies, procedures, materials, tooling and techniques Maintain gas transmission construction, operating and maintenance standards, policies and practices that focus on code (PHMSA and CER) compliance Identify and assist with developing input systems, forms, and databases for data collection to ensure compliance with standards, policies and procedures. Lead applicable standards, policy and procedure committee meetings and reviews Direct work meetings to facilitate discussions, document and develop processes Respond to internal/external inquiries related to standards Remain current on regulatory requirements and pending changes for impacts to utility industry Respond to operating needs by performing field and engineering assessments Provide standards and compliance-related training to all groups of gas transmission Capable of sitting long periods of time when working at workstation using computer Travel up to 40% including overnights to all areas of the gas transmission system Perform individual lifts and carried office supplies up to 35 pounds All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives Engineering Position will also include the following duties: Assist in development, revising, and implementation of materials, equipment, and tooling Investigate, validate, approve and maintain material process and allowed materials Contributes to solutions that meet technical requirements, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements and follow sound engineering practices Perform economic evaluations and analysis of procedures, while investigating alternative solutions As available, complete capital and expense projects to assist with overall GTS workload Am I right for this job?
