Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Engineer Assistant I to join our team located in New Providence, NJ. The purpose of the position is to troubleshoot and provide preventive and corrective maintenance to a variety of laboratory gas sample processing and analysis equipment as well as to aid in building new or upgraded equipment.

Engineer Assistant I

• Independently provide preventive and corrective maintenance to sophisticated gas separation, gas handling and analytical equipment in a safe manner.
• Aid in the building of new or upgraded equipment, both wiring and mechanical assembly.
• Perform a variety of support tasks associated with the instruments or laboratory area, including calibration, procurement of spares, and assist with inventory.
• Adhere to all required safety and quality standards
• Participate in corrective and preventive action teams
• Work individually or with team members in continuous improvement efforts
• Comply with Linde safety policies and other regulatory requirements
