Job Overview
This position is responsible for implementing electric/natural gas energy efficiency and decarbonization programs by providing technical project management services and financial incentives to commercial new construction customers. Position requires program management skills, communication/customer engagement skills, and technical knowledge of building energy systems. In addition, this position supports further development and rollout of energy efficiency programs that meet decarbonization and net zero energy goals.
Essential Functions
• Works directly with customers to promote available resources (incentive dollars and technical assistance) to enable customer procurement and installation of energy efficiency and decarbonization measures and strategies.
• Manages the integration of Client energy efficiency support for the customer with the customer or developer's project team, Client internal Sales and Engineering team members, other Mass Save Sponsors, and vendors.
• Manages pipeline of projects and works toward achieving annual energy savings goals for the program.
• Provides direction to business partners, such as contracted vendors, and energy conservation/decarbonization guidance to customers to execute program and meet savings goals.
• Responsible for executing moderately complex projects/programs, which require an understanding of engineering analysis/calculations, implementation strategies for new technologies, or energy simulation modeling.
• Prepares analyses and documentation necessary to comply with regulatory filings and oversight of rate-payer funded Energy Efficiency programs.
• Ensures that all projects and programs are in compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies - reviews project documentation and program applications to confirm all required and supporting materials are provided in order to meet participation parameters.
• Participates in the budgeting, invoicing, evaluation, and tracking of expenses and energy savings; assists with the development of RFP's for contracted services.
• Facilitates achievement of Client program goals by promoting demand-reduction and electric vehicle charging initiatives to new construction customers.
• Partners with Energy Efficiency colleagues across sectors/channels, including Energy Efficiency Sales Account Executives, in order to set an energy efficiency implementation path and strategy for customer participation and energy efficiency program implementation.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
• Requires ability to interpret energy efficiency / renewable technologies and services and understand their application.
• Requires solid understanding of financial principals and the ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel).
Education:
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience:
• Three (3) plus years of relevant experience in construction management, engineering, architecture, or energy efficiency.
• Experience and/or aptitude in customer service also necessary.
