SUMMARY:

The Elevator Operator is responsible for all facets of the elevator operations. The duties include, but are not limited to weighing trucks, receiving trucks, binning in correct bin, loading midds, transferring the product to mill, and sanitation duties.

Elevator Operator Responsibilities:

Receive trucks.

Bin product correctly.

Load midds onto trailers.

Transfer product to mill.

Sanitation duties.

Learn scale.

Clean product using grain cleaning equipment.

Operate skid steer/forklift.

Fill out appropriate paperwork needed for task.

Elevator Operator Qualifications:

HS Graduate or GED preferred.

Experience in grain handling and computer skills would be considered an asset.

On the job training is provided.

Safety training is required and provided by Panhandle Milling in group settings, as well as individual computer-based training.

Possess excellent interpersonal skills, multitask, and able to read and write in English.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Available to work flexible hours; evenings, weekends, and shift work may be required.

Working Conditions:

This position requires physical efforts such as straining, pulling, lifting, working, and standing and walking on concrete floor.

Exposure to elements such as noise, minable dust, cold and hot temperatures.

Extreme climate or climate variation.

Heat up to 100 degrees and lows of 40 degrees.

Changes of >30 degrees within a shift.

Exposure to manufacturing equipment hazards, especially forklifts.

Climbing of ladders.
