Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering; changes. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower level technicians. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of an Electronics Maintenance Technician I and II. Applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions Requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow. Uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment Job Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 7 years demonstrated experience. Formal Technical training as an Electronics Technician (Military Specialist Training or Civilian Equivalent). High School diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as an Electronics Technician. Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Ability to multi-task. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license, and be insurable by the company's insurance carrier. May be required to work extended workdays frequently. Overtime compensation established by local SCA regulations, if applicable.
