Duties & Responsibilities
You would be responsible for:
- Applying principles and techniques of electrical and mechanical engineering
- Applying a broad knowledge of engineering principles, practices and procedures toward broad assignments requiring originality and ingenuity
- Designing industrial control apparatus and equipment, determining procedures for testing products and directing technicians and manufacturing personnel in fabrication and testing of the apparatus and equipment
- Communicating with sales, marketing and other engineering personnel on product features
- Applying a thorough knowledge of government and other regulations and standards as they relate to the function products
- Providing technical data for the production of manuals and sales literature, provide support to customers, sales and production staff
- Evaluating products and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements
- Assist with departmental activities including, working with customers, coordinating with outside vendors and reviewing manuals
- Assist field operations and customer service with product application or warranty items
- Keep up to date with new technologies which may be applicable to the scale industry
- Act as a catalyst and technological resource for the implementation of new technologies

- Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- In addition, five (5) years of industrial product design experience
- Knowledge in the use of design tools such as MCAD and FEA
- Outstanding personal computing skills including Excel, Word, Project, etc.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
