Job Overview

Brief Description (use What You Will Do):
You will be working closely with other laser production teammates to ensure that our production floor is operating at maximum productivity at all times by assembling laser sub-assemblies and laser vessels to prints, drawings and Standard Operating Procedures. You will be following all policies and procedures for safety and quality and will be responsible for meeting production schedules on a weekly basis.

What Success Looks Like:
• Assemble complex mechanical and electro mechanical assemblies following work instructions and or drawings
• Implementing Lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement strategies.
• Carrying out assignments in a safe and efficient manner and ensuring work is in accordance with all established policies and procedures and safety codes.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) Clean and maintain work area, properly turn off and lock out equipment when applicable
• Adhere to production schedules and report material shortages
• Accurately document all required entries in assembly travelers and batch sheets
• Contributing to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
• Communicating effectively with peers, managers and engineering on the status of equipment, process and requests for support.
• Comply with GMPs with regard to material labeling, SOPs and proper segregation of material in the production process

Material and Equipment Directly Used:
• Mechanical and electrical tools, power tools, torque wrenches, volt meters, and other miscellaneous tooling including hand tools, as necessary.
• Maintenance logs, drawings, SOP's, schematics, flow charts, etc.
• May utilize high vacuum systems, high voltage systems, meters and gauges.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Cleanroom gowning materials.
• Hazardous process gasses.
• Use of automated processing equipment.

Education/Experience Necessary:
• HS diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated mechanical capability.
• Knowledge of working in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience following written procedures and documenting work performed.
• Preferred experience using blueprints
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Candidate must possess computer skills and be able to develop proficiency in Agile, and Microsoft Office products.

Special Requirements:
• Will be required to work in conditions normal for a manufacturing environment.
• Work involves standing for extended periods of time, bending and twisting.
• Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30+ pounds and team lift operations of up to 150 pounds.
• Operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks and hearing protectors.
• Operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses, masks, hearing protectors, other required PPE and follow safety practices
• Good hand to hand and hand to eye coordination
• Must be able to Interface with teammates on problems
• Provide feedback to engineering and other support groups
• Overtime on weekends may be required
