Job Description: Job Posting T4 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 4 (T4) to Parsons as the prime contractor. This $1.3 billion+ contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) modernization efforts: Site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, CAD, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 400-500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work. The Electrician will be responsible for electrical installation and reconfiguration work.. The Electrician will report to the Lead Project Manager. The Electrician personnel perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Duties include but are not limited to: Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as panels, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, conduit systems, receptacles, or other transmission equipment, Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measurement/test instruments. Installation of control cables (connection, pulling and dressing) in laboratory and control tower environment. Installation and/or removal or relocation of power panels. Rack installation for various FAA systems. Secondary duties required of this position will be general installation duties such as furniture assembly and relocation, minor duct work repair, ceiling tile replacement, partition wall assembly/disassembly, and sign installation. Installation and modification of E/G and UPS systems, including electrical power panels, installing conduit, cableways and pulling cables. Qualifications: + 6+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry + High school degree or equivalent required + Construction, safety, and quality training/certifications a plus + MS Office experience and computer proficiency required + Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds + Must be willing to work overtime when required + Valid driver license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check required + Must have, or be able to obtain, a satisfactory DOT medical examination + Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test + Must be able to meet customer security requirements.
