Job Overview

Job Title: Electrician Department: Maintenance & Shop Location: San Angelo, TX FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Maintenance Manager Summary: Supports well site operations for specified role on US Well Services Clean Fleet. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Embrace the values and policies of US Well Services Treat all employees with the utmost dignity and respect Ability to work with employees and other departments to promote teamwork among subordinates Complies with company Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Be courteous to the public and employees while acting as an agent of USWS Always be in compliance with all company policies and procedures Must develop working knowledge of USWS Clean Fleet Equipment When in this position as an SSE, you will have to have a mentor. Must be able to rig in/out equipment within six months. Comply with all safety standards and procedures set forth by US Well Services, LLC. Must develop a working knowledge of USWS Clean Fleet Equipment. Must provide their own basic tools and understand their proper use (list will be provided.) Understand the use of hand and power tools to do electrical repair work. Must use proper grounding techniques, per USWS SOP EP.04.005 Bonding and Grounding. Must have a basic understanding of how to read and understand schematics. Must perform proper and safe cable routing. Will be required to complete all USWS training, including Arc Flash and Basic Electrical Safety Training, as provided. Must be able to determine the appropriate level of PPE needed for a specific assigned task. Must properly use ladders and safety harnesses. Must be able to properly use various testers, such as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscope, along with other hand tools to complete a job. Be able to exercise the proper use of wiring techniques for 12 volt DC, 24 volt DC, 120 volt DC, 120 volt AC, 240 volt AC, 480 volt AC, 600 volt AC and 13.8 kV single and three-phase. Help Turbine Techs on rig in/out of the Turbines. Assist Turbine techs and begin learning about the turbine and related equipment. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Qualifications: Work Schedule Ability to work a rotational schedule including 14 days on duty and 7 days off duty however, schedule is subject to change and fluctuate due to company needs o Schedules include working day shift, night shift, weekends, holidays, etc. Willingness to work days off if needed Willingness to travel out of state and to other Districts as necessary Must have a smartphone to be able to utilize when needed and be available when contacted Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED Safe Land/PEC Certified preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred Effective oral and written communication Able to speak clearly in English so as to be easily understood Must possess a Journeyman Electrician License issued by the state of the District advertising the opening. In the absence of a license, must have minimum number of hours required by the State in either electrical work or classroom instruction to obtain the license. 1-2 years' experience in Electrical field with knowledge of A/C power and A/C motors. Basic knowledge of frac equipment Must have a driving record acceptable to the Company and USWS auto insurance company Tools Needed Including but not limited to: 1. Standing: 6-12 hours per day Sitting: 2-3 hours per day Driving: 1-2 hours per day Climbing: Ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet to work platforms Lifting: Up to 80lbs, additional weight, 80-100lbs, may be required with a second individual assisting Reaching: Ability to reach with hands and arms frequently to operate equipment. Ability to wear a full and/or half face respirator. Ability to wear FR (Flame Resistant) uniforms including pants, shirts, and/or coveralls Contacts: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain friendly and effective contact with employees, vendors, customers of the company, members of the community, and employees of other affiliated companies, departments or divisions. Working Conditions: Works in varied environments and geographical areas and sometimes, in what may be considered harsh environments. Exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, and precipitation is expected. Potential job hazards include working at heights, chemicals, silica dust, and medium voltage electricity, when working in the field or at shop locations.
