Electrician Technician III

Sign-on Bonus Available - $1,500-$2,500 (depending on experience)

Current Shift Opening: Wednesday 10:50pm to 7:00am, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6:50pm to 7:00am.

We are currently seeking an Electrician Technician III for our Maintenance Department.

This position is responsible for the electrical maintenance of production equipment and plant facilities. Must be able to perform complex repairs, conversions, and preventative maintenance projects. Must have thorough knowledge of functions and operations of all process and associated support equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring the ability to:

Maintain and support all safety guards and comply with all safety practices and policies. Use safe work practices such as LOTO, Arc Flash, PSM and required PPE.

Maintain communications with Electrical Lead and Maintenance Manager concerning daily operations.

Develop, review, update and implement Electrical Control procedures when assigned.

Set-up and test equipment, machines, and defective components through effective troubleshooting.

Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic systems of the production equipment and physical plant Inspections and calibrations of various equipment such as pressure transducers, electrical & pneumatic controllers, level indicators/controllers, pressure & temperature transmitters, footage counters and limit switches.

Strong electrical knowledge of electrical systems, circuit breakers and low voltage power distribution systems, AC/DC motors, AC/DC motor control devices, instrumentation, PLC's and AC/DC drive systems, temperature control and computer skills (Servos and Robotics a Plus).

Possess working knowledge of electrical/mechanical drawings, troubleshooting and repair.

Ability to understand and navigate electrical schematics from worldwide OEM's, and the ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawing is highly desired.

Basic Mechanical expertise, advanced skills are desired.

Actively participates in the continuous improvement process (CIP) by:

Identifying and addressing any opportunities to reduce cost, improve product/process and/or improve overall operations

Participating in CIP teams to eliminate problems, streamline operations or other areas as defined by management

Participating in CIP training and exercises designed to expand the potential for continuous improvement.

Required qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining manufacturing production equipment preferred/ or 2+ years education and competition of Maintenance Technician training.

Must be able to use precise measuring equipment such as amp probe, meter, oscilloscope, megger, micrometers and calipers.

Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Must be able to write routine reports and utilize CMMS system.
