SUMMARY OF DUTIES: 3rd Rail Electrician Trainees are responsible for the construction and maintenance of third rail high voltage transmission systems in tunnels. They work in proximity of and protect contactors, workers and equipment in proximity of high voltage circuits and apparatus. They also operate company vehicles on an as needed basis in performance of duties. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Construct, install, maintain, bond and test 3rd rail system. Laborer or light electrical background Prefer experience as a journeyman electrician and knowledge of tools, electricity and safety procedures. Prior satisfactory job performance, work attendance and safety record is required. MINIMUM QUALIFACTIONS: High School Diploma or GED COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must have excellent written and oral communication sills.
