The Electrician conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Apply knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and apply skills in restoring equipment to operations. Provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing and facilities. Responsibilities also include: Install, start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown in line with OSHA requirements Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including, but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment Advise Operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with equipment and components Be experienced and trained in Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and Arc Flash Safety Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during machine service Have ability to directly supervise unlicensed individuals/apprentices performing electrical modification or projects Minimum Experience/Education Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent Two (2) years of vocational/technical education, preferable in electrical repair Excellent mechanical and mathematical/analytical skills Must be able to work independently and be a problem solver Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and stoop for up to 12 hours Comfortable working at heights in an aerial lift Ability to work 3-4 consecutive 12 hour shifts and ability to work overtime as required Qualifications Skills Preferred Manufacturing / Production environment Novice Mathematically inclined Intermediate Demonstrated analytical skills Intermediate Lift 50 pounds, stand, bend, stoop 8 hours Intermediate Education Required High School/GED or equivalent or better. Preferred Technical/other training or better. Licenses & Certifications Required Electrical experience and trade school classes
