Sinclair Digital is looking for an enthusiastic individual that's willing to grow and be part of an emerging tech company that focuses on advanced systems for sustainable built environments. As a Systems Designer, we are looking for someone that is willing to learn the in's and out's of cutting edge technology, how to work with a wide variety of building systems and learn to integrate and commission them on a jobsite while contributing to a start-up work culture.
To be successful in this position, you should have a base understanding of conventional Low Voltage Technologies, a willingness to learn of Emerging Technologies, and a high level of software proficiency.
Note: We are currently working in-office in Fort Worth, TX in a hybrid capacity.
Systems Designer I Responsibilities:
- Analyzing construction drawings and documenting base information for budgetary and proposal purposes
- Ability to learn and design conventional Low Voltage systems for a variety of building types
- Ability to learn and design Emerging Technology systems for a variety of building types
- Willingness to be trained in Sustainable systems that put Sinclair Digital at the forefront of smart building infrastructures
- Ability to adapt in day to day tasks including but not limited to: CAD Drawing, BIM Modeling, Product
Research, Documentation, Hands-on Experimentation
- Preparing and executing drawings, specifications and construction documents for Low Voltage and Emerging Technology systems designed
- Meeting and collaborating with Team members to provide updates on work and ensure highest level of quality in design and production
- Assisting in working on and managing projects from schematic development through completion
Systems Designer I Requirements:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360 w/ previous field experience
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Previous experience in analyzing and understanding construction documents (i.e. Site Plans, Floor Plans, Sections, Line Diagrams, etc.)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent technical drawing skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and Google Workspace
Preferred:
- Degree in a technical field and/or related work experience
- Previous experience of conventional Low Voltage systems
