Job Overview

Mold Masters is looking for a Quality & Testing Engineer to join our team in Georgetown, ON.

We are looking for a results oriented, highly motivated, and experienced Quality & Testing Engineer to work closely with Research and Development as well as Controller Manufacturing to ensure both new product quality and product manufacturing quality.

As Quality & Testing Engineer, you will work collaboratively across departments within the team and be responsible for communicating when deadlines will not be met. This includes direct collaboration with the R&D team to help quickly identify and resolve problems, while actively participating in improving control systems design processes and implementing changes. You will also be responsible for evaluating product readiness and informing product design. This includes test execution, data collection, analysis and reporting for prototype products in development, test design through the application of reliability engineering principles, test systems development and validation.

In addition, the Quality & Testing Engineer will work with Controller Manufacturing to provide manufacturing related training, identify process non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and process improvements.

What you'll do :

Interface with internal and external stakeholders and customers involving multifunctional products and services related to Quality.

Revise Quality Procedures to reflect current process requirements and activities.

Establish and Document testing and validation systems/ program findings by recording the results in a comprehensive report format and present findings to management and/or development engineers.

Generate test cases based on the requirements and other documents; set up the required test beds (hardware, software, and equipment); troubleshooting and repair of any testing equipment issues as required.

Maintain and update test and data acquisition equipment inventory to ensure the most efficient validation procedures are utilized; arrange for external testing sources when applicable.

Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements.

Participate in root cause analysis and problem solving with Controller Manufacturing and Service; provide training to Controller Manufacturing.

Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with specified times and ISO guidelines are followed.

Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering discipline (preferred Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering degree) from an accredited university.

Five (5+) years of manufacturing engineering / quality engineer experience including electrical related product manufacturing, SMT PCBA assembly, electronic sub-assembly processes, and supplier qualification

Quality tool experience: FMEA, MSA, 8-D, SPC.

Ability to operate lab equipment including meters, scopes and wireless communications equipment; ability to evaluate data, resulting in corrective and preventive actions
Experience with design validation and testing products in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of quality practices and procedures, including use of metrics and statistical analyses
Knowledge of SAP process and system
Proficient with MS Office suite, and general office skills
