Job Overview
The Advanced Development Program (ADP) is Blue Origin's team dedicated to developing mission architectures, creating, and feeding new technologies into our existing offerings, building our next generation of leaders, and commercializing new platforms, such as our planned Lunar Lander program, Blue Moon (Link: ), our planned commercial space station, Orbital Reef (Link: ), and other ambitious space destinations and space mobility programs that fuel Blue Origin's growth and further its mission. In this role, you would directly impact the history of space exploration and your dedicated commitment and detailed attention to details would further the cause of safe and repeatable spaceflight for Blue Origin's next generation Orbital Flight Systems, including Lunar Landers, Orbital Space Stations, and In-Space Systems, and this will be a chance to leave your fingerprints on the history of crewed spaceflight.

Responsibilities:
- Perform design, analysis, and development of complex electrical ground support equipment, harnesses, and testing equipment
- Author work instructions/procedures for the implementation, operation, maintenance, and corrective actions on electrical systems
- Create engineering drawings, schematics, system specifications, interface control documents for electrical ground support equipment
- Strong safety mentality and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations
- Ability to identify operational impacts and develop concept of operations for equipment to integrate into maintenance and operations activities.
- Previous professional experience with complex electrical systems design, operation, and maintenance.
- Author comprehensive test plans and conduct equipment activation/commissioning activities.
- Ability to work in small to medium-sized teams integrating multiple subsystems to meet top level system requirements
- Experience interfacing electrical/avionics equipment with flight network systems
- Ability to travel up to 25% to support maintenance and launch operations as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering (electrical, software or avionics)
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and build on our inclusive culture.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- Experience designing and/or operating RF communications systems
- Experience in sub-contract management of suppliers including request for proposal, specification, and statement of work
- Experience with launch vehicle, aircraft, or spacecraft manufacturing, integration, and testing
- Project planning, schedule, and cost estimation, with strong personnel management and mentoring skills
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices, manufacturing fabrication and assembly processes, and quality control
- M.S. degree in engineering (electrical, software or avionics)
