Position Summary:
As the Electrical Engineer, in this role you will provide electrical engineering support on the Family Care Process Optimization Team, including support to the various R&E teams and mill operating teams relative to the design, setup and process operation of our tissue manufacturing and converting equipment. Travel is required for this role. Typical travel is one to two weeklong trips per month. Travel is typically departing Monday and returning Friday.
Your Key Responsibilities include:
Driving the development and execution of the 6-to-36 month OEE plans for assets. Coordinate and lead targeted onsite action plans.
Effectively collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes R&E, Supply Chain, mill operations, procurement, equipment suppliers and external service providers.
Maintain technical and scientific expertise in an areas of industrial software, drives, and controls. Be able to communicate impact of developments on Kimberly Clark processes.
Implement the documentation and report of unit work as required by KC policy, effective communication, protection of proprietary information, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Provide leadership by example in corporate safety, quality, regulatory, product safety and sustainability.
Ensure that all elements of the corporate Human Resources policy are fully supported.
About You

You also have a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline and 4 or more years of related technical experience in both mill and staff environments. You have d irect experience with UCTAD, CTEC, and LDC technologies. You are also a subject matter expert in tissue machine operation and optimization as well as converting operations and optimization. Key technology applications include:
Unwinding, rewinding, calendaring, coating, folding, cutting, conveying, wrapping, bundling, cartoning, casepacking, and palletizing.
You also have a demonstrated working knowledge in Rockwell controllers and drives. This includes:
Sectionalized drive control and the associated regulation of coordinated sections involving various control schemes
Servo based motion control for position and velocity
General knowledge of process automation in distributed control applications including control loops
General knowledge of visualization applications for operator interface displays
Strong fundamentals in engineering systems and tools in order to drive technical innovation.
Proven ability to establish strong, effective cross-functional network at enterprise level.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead and direct a technical team and projects that successfully meet business objectives.
