Electrical Engineer V - Onsite in Redmond, WA

Duration: 12 months with Extensions!

What We Need

In this role, you'll be working on AR/VR products to help design, build, and test prototype electronic systems. If they have worked on AR/VR in the past it would be a nice to have a preferred skill.

We want an Electrical Engineer that can design, build, and test prototype electronic systems. You must possess the flexibility to perform hands-on work in the lab taking measurements, executing tests and debugging electronic assemblies. 5-10 years experience as well! Need to have PCB rework or reworking circuits background.

Responsibilities

Work closely with ME, Opto-ME, Thermal, Optical engineers, FW/SW engineers, safety team to design EE systems, and do system integration work. Author system/subsystem requirements/specification, document design files and test criteria / plan for system and modules, review and approve vendor design proposal, document test methodology, component qualification criteria and support system validation. Failure analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level problem solving. In charge of component selection, evaluation, schematic capture, work with layout team to conduct / review layout, follow up on PCB and PCBA manufacturing, perform board/subsystem/system bring up, testing, troubleshooting, documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

-MS degree plus 3+ years of work experience, or 5+ years working experience with BS degree, in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field or equivalent industry work experience

-Experience on board level DC/DC switching power supply design/layout, thermal considerations

-Experience on high frequency circuit design, including differential pair layout, measurement

-Experience on PCB and flex PCB design

-Experience doing bench soldering

-Experience using bench power supply, oscilloscope, signal generator, multimeter

-Experience with Altium or Cadence schematic capture or layout review tool, prefer Altium

-Experience with EMI EE/system risk mitigation strategy and techniques

-Experience with mix signal design, including MCU and FPGA

-Experience with cross functional teamwork with willingness to drive to result

Preferred Qualifications

-Display or Camera system design experience

-Display measurement techniques, test methodology and and system performance metrics optimization

-Experience with various high-speed serial display electrical interfaces standards including MIPI, I2C and SPI

-Familiar with Python

-Experience with MCU programing

-Experience with FMEA

-Experience design high power LED driver

-Experience working with DMD

-Experience working with LCD, LCOS display
