Job Overview

Actalent is seeking applications for a lower-mid level Electrical Engineer add to an automotive client team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the electrical and power systems within new age vehicle technologies: autonomous and electric.

Summary:

The main function of an Electrical Engineer within the Power Network team is to design, develop and test the integration of electrical components with respect to the system architecture in Autonomous, standard diesel, and electric vehicle applications, as well as create, improve, interpret and implement electrical standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Design of vehicle power systems components within the context of the power network architecture.

Empirical testing of power systems components.

Interpretation and implementation of specifications from standardizing bodies (SAE, ISO), as well as company standards for electrical design.

Contribute towards system-level design decisions for the power network architecture of heavy duty vehicles.

Provide periodic updates to the team on existing assignments

Primary Day to day Responsibilities:

Assist component and feature owners within electrical power system integration team with spec writing, bench testing, brainstorming, collaborating and documenting.

Skills:

Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

Analytical and problem solving ability.

Team player and detail oriented.

Self-starter, motivated to complete tasks.

Ability to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.

Previous experience with electrical power systems.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering required

1-3 years experience required (may consider BSEE graduate with internship and capstone experience)
