Job Overview

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The Technical Services Division is responsible for commissioning new substations, performing maintenance and testing of existing substation equipment as well as servicing a wide range of power electric distribution equipment for both industrial and public partners.



Responsibilities:

This position will include performing various functions including, but are not limited to, the following:


Under the direction of a lead electrical engineer:

  • Prepare electrical studies including coordination studies, short-circuit studies, ARC flash studies
  • Evaluate power quality data and prepare reports for same



Support of Testing and Commissioning:

  • Review construction drawings to develop commissioning and test plans
  • Prepare construction sequencing plans
  • Prepare construction and testing schedules
  • Participate in field testing and trouble shooting
  • Review field testing
  • Prepare energization plans
  • Update construction drawings to as-built conditions


Professional Development:

Attend professional development training and training courses as necessary for performing job tasks.



Education:

BSEE or BSET from an ABET accredited school
