Job Overview
Electrical Engineer / Electrical Controls Engineer. The Electrical Engineer / Electrical Controls Engineer's primary responsibility is to design electrical wiring schematics for environmental test chambers as well as supporting customers with existing and legacy systems.

Duties and Responsibilities for Electrical Controls Engineer:
Prepare designs in response to project requirements.
Use Autodesk software to generate electrical schematics, layouts, and parts lists
Support manufacturing, test floor, and field service teams
Manage all electrical documentation including revisions of each
Solve problems with creative solutions
Prepare a sequence of operations for each project
Manage our electrical compliance standards (UL508a, CE, etc)
Look for, and implement, modern controls solutions
Be flexible in helping Russells achieve our goal of excellence
Qualifications:
BSEE or equivalent, master's preferred
Experience designing electrical controls
Thorough understanding of UL 508A
Familiarity with other product compliance standards beyond UL 508A.
Strong computer skills (programming knowledge a plus)
Able to use Autodesk software to generate schematics and parts lists
Ability to excel in a team environment
Ability to manage time while handling multiple tasks and projects
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
Ability to interpret technical instructions
Working Conditions
Periodic stationary work with frequent movement throughout the facility to access chambers, files, office machinery, etc. Works at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time. Employee must be able to manually enter data to the computer system and understand the screen and images that appear. Frequently lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Use of hands to hold, lift and handle materials. Occasional climbing, bending and squatting.
