Job Overview
Wisconsin Electric Power, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Electrical Engineer - Materials and Standards in our Green Bay or Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site).
The Electrical Engineer is part of a team responsible for creating specifications and standards for the electrical distribution system.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluating and approving materials and equipment for overhead and underground electric distribution systems
Creating material specifications and purchase guides
Creating, updating, and publishing construction standards, work procedures, and engineering reference manuals
Evaluating materials from vendors for safety, durability, compatibility, operability, life cycle, and costs
Developing maintenance recommendations
Performing technical training, field problem resolution, and failure analysis
This position is part of a job family (Associate Engineer/Engineer/Senior Engineer). Experience will be the determining factor.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (December 2022 Graduates are eligible to apply)
Valid Driver's License
Relevant engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications
2-5 years relevant engineering experience
Wisconsin Professional Engineering (PE) License
