Traver IDC, located in Waterbury, is a full service electrical/mechanical engineering firm and energy service provider and for over 80 years, Traver has been providing outstanding products and services. We are a premium motor repair facility, field service electrical contractor, electrical supply distribution center, electrical/ mechanical engineering firm and energy service provider. We are currently seeking talented licensed Electricians to join our growing team.

The Position:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:
Designing new or modify existing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls, for electro-mechanical machines.
Creating new or modifying existing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, for electro-mechanical machines.
Creating electrical bills of materials, drawings, and other documentation to support the assembly of machine controls and electrical systems.
Designing and keeping abreast of, changes in NFPA-79 and NFPA-70 standards, as well as OSHA-approved safety circuits and controls designs.
Creating new or modify existing PLC and HMI programs.
Troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
Assisting customers to troubleshoot both locally and remotely (at the customer site) as needed.
Providing electrical technical guidance to field service electricians to include training and mentoring around controls or electrical.
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related experience of at least 3 years in the design of electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
PLC and HMI programming experience with complex systems
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic controls systems
Experience with microprocessor programming and/or integrated controllers
Working knowledge of NFPA-79 and industrial machine controls standards
Experience in project engineering/management
